DP World has opened a new technology center in Gurgaon, India, its third this year as it invests in developing next-generation global trade innovations.
The new office, about 30 kilometers southwest of India’s capital New Delhi, will house more than 240 people. It will house the development team for DP World’s latest trade and logistics solutions, which aim to “revolutionize how trade flows through every link in the global supply chain.”
The inauguration follows the launch of new technology centers in Hyderabad and Bangalore earlier this year.
According to DP World, India’s digital economy is set to reach $1 trillion by 2025, and its pool of tech professionals is growing rapidly. DP World aims to tap into this resource, attracting India’s brightest minds to create solutions with ownership of the software development process from start to finish.
At the beginning of 2021, DP World had only 50 employees in the country. With the opening of its three offices in 2022, this number has already increased to over 450 As this exponential growth continues, the number of employees is expected to reach 700 by the middle of next year.
