Instagram introduced this week a new website for large screens with the ability to schedule posts up to 75 days in advance.

CEO Adam Mosseri on Tuesday announced the updates(Opens in a new window)he called them “end states”—”things we should have reached before.”

Creators can set up ads using Meta’s Business Suite with a linked account. But the complex task requires a special mobile application or patience to navigate through many web pages. Now, the social network is rolling out content scheduling tools within the app, allowing professional accounts worldwide to schedule photos, carousels, and videos to be posted up to 75 days in advance and never leave Instagram.

After loading but before sharing new content, navigate to Advanced settings at the bottom of the screen; tap “Schedule this post” to choose a time and date to go live, then return to the flow of the post and click “Schedule.” Not unlike Twitter’s approach, users can schedule tweets for 18 months in the future.

Instagram also teased Achievements, a new feature it’s currently testing that emphasizes “creators are putting more effort into their Videos.” The idea is that users unlock achievements related to special activities such as collaborating with others, creating more interactive videos, using audio and effects, and creating more than one Reel per week.

It is not clear what the meaning of analyzing such actions is for the individual, if the person receives a certificate or a sign of success that they can show to the followers. In any case, they will be able to deal with Achievements using the redesigned website, which Mosseri unveiled on Tuesday.

“We know that a lot of people use the web to do a lot of things, and we wanted to make sure that Instagram is really good on the web,” he said. “So it’s cleaner, faster, easier to use, and now it’s designed to use large-screen monitors, which has increased the method.”

The new layout moves menus and icons like Home, Search, Messages, and Notifications to the collapsed left side, leaving room for viewing photos and videos. However, it doesn’t come with an iPad app, Mosseri said in February(Opens in a new window) “not enough” as a priority for development.
