WhatsApp has released a new update for beta users of the app. The update brought several new features, including support for WhatsApp on Android tablets. Let’s check this update in detail!
WhatsApp beta 2.22.24.8: What’s new?
The new beta update adds support for linking an Android tablet to an existing WhatsApp account. This feature works similarly to WhatsApp Desktop, and some beta testers can now use their WhatsApp account on a tablet.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company plans to introduce “WhatsApp for Tablets” using a new in-app banner that will appear in a future update. The banner informs users that there is a version of WhatsApp for tablets available for their account.
Try the tablet app and if you see a QR code screen after opening the app on your tablet, it means you can link your tablet to your existing WhatsApp account. But if not, you’ll have to wait for a future update.
