Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has finally taken the wraps off its latest brand new tablet device called the Redmi Pad. The tablet comes with a list of mid-range hardware specifications, making it an affordable device.
In terms of hardware, the Redmi slate comes in three colors including Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green. On the front of the tablet is a 10.62-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2000 x 1200 resolution.
Inside, the tablet is powered by a budget MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and storage options 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 6GRAM + 128GB storage, all support micro SD expansion. There’s a pair of 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, and the whole setup is powered by an 8,000mAh battery.
Of course, the tablet comes with MIUI, but it runs on Android 12.
Unlike the smartphone division, Xiaomi and its sub-brands don’t produce very many tablets, and apart from the Redmi Pad, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is the other notable device in the Chinese brand’s tablet lineup. That being said, the Xiaomi Pad has high-end hardware specs and is slightly more expensive than its budget sibling.
