Ottawa Senators player Nikita Zaitsev may want to stay off social media for the foreseeable future.
The Senators quarterback – who was recently suspended and suspended – appeared to DM the meme account @bruce_garricrotch (@EverydaySens on Twitter) asking to meet face to face after the sharing a meme to make fun of his inability to talk.
Below is a photo from Zaitsev’s account that was verified in @bruce_garricrotch’s DMs.

The popular meme account also shared a Twitter video that shows it’s not fake. You can give yourself a watch below.
What is the specific meme in question? It looks like a Spiderman meme reference, again, about Nikita Zaitsev’s great responsibility for protection.
Nikita Zaitsev should know for sure.
Why DM a meme page? That is to be seen. If you find yourself DMing a meme page as a professional contestant, the moderator is unknown, you should put your phone down.
For reference, Nikita Zaitsev is making $4.5 million this year, and has made nearly $28 million over the course of his NHL career. If you’re a millionaire arguing with meme pages, you’ve got it wrong.

Now, should the Russian-born hockey player be banned? No, it’s just as stupid as arguing with a meme page.
Is saying you want to meet face-to-face an unnecessary threat? Yes, but it’s also very PG. Nikita Zaitsev didn’t say he would throw a punch at @bruce_garricrotch.
He just wanted to work face to face. Read into it what you will.

Either way, there are no real winners here. He’s too dumb to waste his time on this nonsense, he’s in the same boat as the enemy.
