Divock Origi and two Liverpool players have responded to Sadio Mane’s post on Instagram late last night – after the Bayern Munich man revealed the injury that ruled him out of the Cup of the World.
Mane has missed out on representing Senegal in Qatar next month after picking up a foot injury while playing for Bayern.

“This Monday, our beloved country will compete in the World Cup, Qatar 2022. I am sure that the Lions will step up and approach every game as a true finalist.
“I am also sure that all Senegalese will be in front of the small screen to support and encourage our national champion team.
“As with all non-binding things in Daniele, I believe that my teammates will fight as one, and most of all to honor our beloved friend. Good luck Senegal , come.”
And Mane’s former teammates stepped under the post to show their support.
Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott responded with heart emojis, while Divock Origi left a hands down emoji.
Xerdan Shaqiri also sent a message of support to Mane when he wrote: “Come back and be strong my brother.”
It’s great to see Mane’s former friends offering their support during a difficult time for him.
He played a key role in leading Senegal to the World Cup and it is a cruel blow to keep him out of the tournament.
