He said he had been using a lime-free toilet cleaner and said it was a bit better, but he thought there was a better and more efficient way to make his toilet look like new, reports the Mirror.
In the comments, people revealed an easy way to remove limescale – using a dishwasher tablet. One wrote: “If you have a dishwasher tablet you can put it in and it will run for about an hour. Always works.”
Another commented that the dishwasher tablet also removes stubborn stains: “Drop the dishwasher tablet down the toilet and leave it as long as possible before washing, it even removes thick and stubborn limescale.”
The cleaning experts at Kitchn also recommend using this kitchen sink to remove limescale from your toilet. They said: “When it’s time to remove the toilet, start by flushing the washing-up tablet down the toilet.
“Then, do the sink, floor, and shower, and save the toilet for last. That way, the tablet has time to melt a bit and makes it easier to scrub the toilet. You can also use the tablet to clean the rings. Hard water left behind.”
