Introducing his ‘personal touch’ which will reflect the performance within the team
Park Hyderabad has announced the appointment of Kanika Arora as Room Division Manager (RDM). Arora is a passionate hotelier with over 12 years of experience in luxury hospitality. In his previous role, he was the Executive Housekeeper at Grand Hyatt Gurgaon. Prior to joining Hyatt, Arora worked for luxury business hotels at Marriott and Oberoi Hotels. He trained at Oberoi School of Learning and Development (OCLD) and completed his graduation from IHM Ahmedabad.
Arora joined The Oberoi Gurgaon in 2011 after completing rigorous training as Assistant Manager at OCLD. Over the next six years, he held various positions of increasing responsibility at multiple Oberoi properties. He assumed the leadership role of Executive Housekeeper at Westin Gurgaon Marriott Hotel where he excelled in his areas of expertise – guest experience, training and development, quality assurance, budget and performance management.
He joined the Hyatt family in 2019 at Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, a pre-opening property in India’s millennium city. Talking about her three-year journey there, Arora said, “The most memorable moment of my life was opening the restaurant and event space at Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, followed by the guest rooms. It was a gratifying experience to welcome guests and witness the much-awaited pre-opening and enjoying their properties after the Covid pandemic.”
At Park Hyderabad, he wants to introduce his ‘personal touch’ that will reflect operational excellence within the team and a uniquely enriching experience for guests. Welcoming Arora at Park Hyatt Hyderabad, General Manager Shovit Sahni said, “I am very excited to have Kanika join our leadership team. He is a wonderful asset to any luxury hotel, and I look forward to working with him to drive the next wave of enhancements to the guest comfort and experience at Park Hyatt.”
