Meta’s social media platform Instagram announced on Tuesday the list of ‘Customization Tool’ for all professional accounts on the platform. Creators and businesses can schedule photos, reels, and carousel posts up to 75 days in advance directly from the app, Instagram said in an announcement published on the platform from its producer.
Until now, social media managers, creators and businesses rely on third-party apps, Meta Business Suite or Creator Studio to organize posts on Instagram. While the scheduling tool is only available on professional accounts, one can upgrade their standard account to a professional account for free from the account settings.
Customization tool: how it works
Step 1: In the Instagram app, tap on ‘Advanced Settings’
Step 2: In Advanced settings, click on ‘Customize this post’
Step 3: Select the time and date you want the notification to continue
Step 4: Go back to the Instagram post flow and click on ‘Program’
In addition to activating fixed posts, the tool allows users to change posts. Creators can find the customized ad in the ‘Customized Content’ section, accessed through the hamburger menu, located in the upper right corner of the Instagram profile page.
Alongside the series tool, Instagram announced ‘Achievements’ in the reels. This feature allows producers to unlock achievements based on specific actions while creating a reel. For example, the achievement will be unlocked if the creator collaborates with another, participates in the community by creating a more interactive reel, using audio and effects, and creating more than one reel in the weekend.
Creators will be notified of the unlocked achievement through a notification, which they can find by clicking on the ‘View’ option in the notification. They can also track their earned and unearned achievements from the ‘Menu’ option in the given bar. Instagram is currently testing the achievements feature, and it may not be available to everyone.
