In September, Google announced that Keep is getting a two-pane view and is now widely available on Android tablets.
This two-column view allows you to see a list (or grid) on the left, while the actual alert appears on the right. In the past, the icons were displayed over a grid that was visible in the background.
Google has made a significant change since the September announcement. There is an expand/collapse button to the left of your profile avatar in the Search Your Tags field. This allows you to switch between Full Screen and Dual Pane. The former remains useful if you want to see all your notes or focus on a specific item.
Google Keep website should have this feature.
We’re seeing this dual-pane redesign with Google Keep version 5.22.452.00.90 on an Android 13 tablet (Tab S8) only encountered on a Chromebook that previously ran the Android app.
It’s a much-needed redesign that makes Keep one of the most optimized Google tablet apps. Meanwhile, Google Keep recently received updated keyboards that are “better suited to the web experience.” You can see them under the extra menu with the physical keyboard.
