Google rolled out a bunch of updates to its Android tablet apps in July to make them work better on larger screens and improve your productivity. These improvements eventually made their way to Google Slides and Drive.

In a blog post (opens in new tab), Google has announced several updates to its Android apps for tablets, including improved drag-and-drop Slides. As a result, you can now drag content such as text and images from Slides into another app while opening them side-by-side.

To do this, you need to open another app in split-screen mode. Then, press and hold the item you want to move and drag it to the destination app. Google Keep has already added this feature along with several other apps, so this feature should work in various Google Workspace apps.

Google Drive also has this feature, but the search giant is taking it a step further with a new improvement. This means you can now drag and drop files and folders in Drive. This is useful if you want to transfer content from one folder to another within the app. You can do this in two windows or one app view.
