Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Saturday seized more than 313 kg of narcotics, 20,200 intoxicating pills, 1,085 banned chemicals and arrested 10 accused in 7 anti-narcotics operations across the country.
According to ANF head office official, ANF recovered 20,200 intoxicating pills from a passenger from Peshawar who was traveling to Jeddah on flight WY-348 at Islamabad North International Airport.
In another operation near Toll Plaza from Peshawar, ANF foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics from Peshawar to Punjab, found 78 kg of marijuana and 26,400 kg of opium in hidden compartments of Bolan’s car and arrested two accused.
According to the spokesperson, ANF Sindh seized 100 kg of marijuana and arrested three accused in an operation in Karachi. Another drug peddler Umar Kot resident was also arrested from Hyderabad and ANF recovered 15 kg of Marijuana from the hidden compartment of the vehicle.
In three operations conducted in different areas of Quetta, 1085 liters of banned chemicals, 19 kg of heroin, 5 kg of ice drug, 70 kg of marijuana were seized and three accused were arrested. According to the CNS Act, 1997, separate cases have been registered in the ANF police stations and further investigations are underway, he added.
