Television Spanish chef, Omar Allibhoy, will be cooking up delicious food at Tapas Night at New City College Rouge Restaurant, Thursday 10th.th November.

Together with Hospitality and Catering students, Omar will be serving an affordable menu – £20 for 6 tapas – at the college’s cafeteria based on the Redbridge campus in Chadwell Heath Lane, from 6pm (last orders at 7.15pm).

Described by Gordon Ramsey as the Antonio Banderas of cooking, Omar founded the restaurant chain Tapas Revolution, appeared on several TV programs such as Sunday Brunch, The One Show, This Morning, MasterChef and Saturday Kitchen, and wrote two successful cookbooks.

He will bring Spanish flavors to Havering and Redbridge by creating dishes such as Chorizo ​​a la Sidra (Spiced chorizo ​​sausage marinated in sweet cider), Gambas al Ajillo (Tiger prawns with garlic and parsley oil cooked in a traditional terracotta pot) and Alitas de Pollo a la Miel y Limon (Marinated crispy chicken wings with lemon and honey dressing) among many others – all served in the newly renovated, Rouge-style restaurant.
