Jagadamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS scooters in Nepal, has introduced the new model NTorq.

TVS NTorq Race XP is the most powerful scooter in the Nepali market. The latest iteration excels in both style, performance, and features.

After a bump in powertrain and updated styling, it also includes Colored Alloys, Ride Modes, and Voice Assist features.

However, it comes at a price.

Talking about the price, TVS NTorq Race XP valued at Rs. 3.15 Lakhs.

We were lucky enough to get it for consideration. While we’re busy testing it, we’ve gathered enough First Impressions.

The TVS NTorq Race XP sports the same styling as the BS6 Race Edition.

The design is based on the Stealth Aircraft, twisted with sporty graphics and bright colors.

Checkered Flag Design, Faux Carbon Fiber Finish, and 3-Tone Colors they are still there. However, TVS has changed a few colors here and there to create a new styling profile.

It gets a good combination of Red, Black, and Silver. As before, TVS has implemented a mix of matte and glossy finishes.

The front panel comes with it i’RT-FI‘ badge to highlight its new BS6 compliant engine.

The front section comes with multiple LED headlights with T-shaped signature DRL. Moreover, the side indicators are integrated into the handlebar.

The side profile and back profile are still the same, except for the clean color.

Other style factors include Double Stitched Seat, Afterburner Inspired Faux Vents, Split Grab Rail, and Split Type Rear Fender.

The TVS NTorq 125 Race XP is only available in one color.

To work

The VS NTorq is powered by a 124.79cc, 4-stroke, 3-valve, Air-cooled FI engine. It can produce maximum power of 10.2PS at 7000rpm and maximum torque of 10.8Nm at 5500rpm.

Moreover, it is connected Automatic Centrifugal Clutch with 5.8-liter fuel tank.

It features a BS6 compliant RT-FI engine.

No change in engine configuration or engine removal. However, the TVS is designed in such a way that it produces more power and torque than before.

As a result, the NTorq 125 XP now produces 0.8PS more power and 0.3Nm more torque than before. Brings the peppiness back to the old Carburetor engine.

There is a noticeable improvement in engine smoothness and refinement.

Interestingly, there are no vibration issues. However, it has a little buzz on the footboard during acceleration.

If you have ridden the NTorq Race XP and the NTorq BS6, you will notice the difference between the two.

The XP Race packs a punch in both initial speed and power. The engine feels peppier and less laggy than the Standard version.

In addition, it includes additional features such as Voice Assistance and ride modes.

Please note that the NTorq front has mounting options. However, it works on Race XP.

Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that much of a difference between the two methods. I will keep an eye on this.

Similarly, there is now a Voice Assist feature. With this, riders can interact directly with the scooter to open up many possibilities.

Also, is it a gimmick or is it really useful?

Additional features

The TVS NTorq XP comes with Telescopic Suspension at the front and Coil Spring at the rear.

It receives a Disc/Drum braking configuration with Sync Braking Technology.

The dimensions are 1861mm long, 710mm wide and 1163mm high. Moreover, the wheelbase remains at 1285mm.

TVS NTorq XP Ground clearance is 155mm. And, curb weight is 116kg.

In addition, it gets 20 liters of storage under the seat.

NTorq includes USB Charging and Boot Light as standard. However, the boot light was missing on our review unit.

To conclude

At a cost of Rs. 3.15 Lakhs, the TVS NTorq Race XP is one of the most expensive 125cc scooters in Nepal.

Just a few years after its launch, TVS NTorq continues its journey to emerge as an unstoppable force.

The racing press introduced the things that made it play.

But, XP Racing makes it sportier and punchier. This one is for those who want a powerhouse that focuses on total performance.

TVS says the Race XP will go beyond the limits, offering extra power, extra mileage, and extra smart features.

Are those features enough to beat out rivals like Honda Grazia 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125, and Suzuki Avenis 125?

We’ve done a detailed comparison between the NTorq 125 and the Ray ZR. During that comparison, the NTorq 125 came out on top for real-world performance.

Hopefully, the new Race XP will continue that trend. However, we will evaluate those claims in our full Review.
