Chennai-based TVS Motor Company registered a growth of 2 percent with sales increasing from 355,033 units in October 2021 to 360,288 units in October 2022.
Domestic sales of registered two-wheelers grew by seven percent from 258,777 units in October 2021 to 275,934 units in October 2022. Total two-wheeler sales registered at 344,630 units in October 2022 compared to 341,513 sales in October 2021.
Motorcycle sales registered 164,568 units compared to sales of 172,361 units in October 2021.
“Market feedback for all our products has been very positive. We are hopeful that the demand in the domestic two-wheeler market will continue,” the company said in a statement. In the electric car segment, the TVS Qube Electric received a positive response from customers, showing a strong growth of 8,103 units in October 2022 compared to the sales of 395 units in October 2021.
The Company’s total sales were registered at 82,816 units in October 2022 compared to sales of 95,191 units in October 2021. Two-wheeler exports were registered at 68,696 units in October 2022 compared to 82,736 units in October 2021.
“In other international markets, there has been a slowdown due to macroeconomic conditions. These are mainly two-wheeler markets and hence we moderate shipments to these countries. However, we saw an improvement in sales in these markets in October which will support improved deliveries in the coming months,” the report said.
The Company’s three wheelers grew by 16 percent registering sales of 15,658 units in October 2022 compared to 13,520 units in October 2021.
