The Best TV Deals for Black Friday 2022: Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Roku and More | Tech Reddy

This is one of the lowest prices we’ve seen for any 40-inch TV to date. Onn is a Walmart brand and we haven’t tested any Onn TVs, so we can’t speak to their picture quality, but at this price it’s tempting nonetheless. And it runs the Roku TV program, which we love.

OLED TVs represent the pinnacle of TV picture quality and, while we haven’t reviewed the A2 series yet, it should be close to the image of the excellent C2 (also on sale, see below). This is a great price for an OLED TV, partly because of its small size and also because the A2 doesn’t have the picture quality features of models like the C2. That said, it’s still a heck of a deal.

This is one of the lowest prices we’ve seen on a 50-inch TV this year, period. We haven’t tested this Westinghouse so we can’t vouch for its picture quality, but at this price you may not care. It also runs the excellent Roku TV program.

The TCL 5-Series doesn’t have the same level of picture quality as our favorite TV for the money, the 6-Series, but this is a great value for a midrange model. Google TV’s operating system is second fiddle to the Roku in our book, but again… the price.

One of our favorite TVs from the budget TV range, this TCL offers the best Roku TV operating system and a solid picture at a great price. This 58-inch model looks to be the best one right now, although if it’s too big, the 55-inch size also sells for $300.

Take everything we said about the 48-inch A2 over and add seven inches. The discount here isn’t exactly, but this is still a great price for an OLED TV of this size.

Full Frame TVs are more expensive than regular TVs, and their picture quality can’t match OLED models, but they may appeal to people who want a slim, smart TV that can be mounted on the wall. They have small frames and their screens offer access to Samsung’s art store, with thousands of graphics and photos to display. They even have a matte finish to help mimic the look of real art. This is the lowest price of the year, and the frame is available in other sizes.

The TCL 6-series has been one of CNET’s favorite TVs for the past few years. Although the TCL 65R646 variant comes out in 2021 and has Google’s TV operating system instead of Roku’s, this TV is still half the price of the CNET Editors’ Choice, the 65R646. Both have excellent image quality with Quantum Dot color, Mini-LED, 4K resolution and Dolby Vision.

The C2 is our favorite TV for the money of 2022, and it’s the best value of the year so far. It’s still expensive, of course, but it beats any non-OLED TV we’ve tested with perfect black levels, unbeatable contrast and excellent viewing angles. It is also available in other sizes, from 42 to 83 inches.

Note that in previous years LG lowered the price of its “C” models earlier in November than this year. For that reason we don’t expect a huge price drop on this TV between now and Black Friday, but you never know.

Samsung QD-OLED promises improved color, brightness and viewing angles compared to standard OLED TVs. Although we didn’t test the TV in a lab, David Katzmaier checked it out early in New York this year, and it seemed to offer excellent picture quality. It’s still a bit more than the LG C2, we there were tested, so between the two we continue to recommend that model. But for Samsung fans, this is a deep discount.

Leave it to Amazon to release a new TV and then drop the price less than two months later. This is the cheapest 65-inch TV I’ve seen this year with full home dimming, which is my favorite addition to a non-OLED TV picture. I haven’t reviewed it yet but from what I’ve seen it can’t match the picture quality or playback of TVs like the Vizio MQX or Hisense U8H, but it costs hundreds less and should still perform better than an entry-level TV. And yes, you can turn off its auto-detection and always-on mic features.

Among the 65-inch TVs we’ve reviewed, the Hisense U8H looks like the best Black Friday deal so far. Its image quality is great, thanks to the excellent brightness, and now the price sits between the Vizio MQX and the TCL 6-Series, which cost $50 more and less, respectively. Until those prices change, the Hisense is our pick by the nose, although all three are excellent.

In our budget TV roundup, the A6 didn’t match the picture quality of the TCL and Vizio, but if you want to pay a little more for a 75-inch screen, this is a great deal. We also liked its Google TV operating system, although it’s not quite as good as the Roku, and it ran a bit slower on the A6. Then, at this price you can always add a different streaming device and come out ahead.
