Leeds United made it two wins from two with another victory over Bournemouth on Saturday evening – with Rodrigo netting his seventh goal of the season, Raphinha celebrated on Instagram after victory.
Rodrigo’s goal-scoring goal gave Leeds the lead – the first of seven goals. He sent Mark Travers the wrong way, his seventh Premier League goal of the season. He has already matched his best Leeds season in terms of goals.
Indeec, Rodrigo had seven points in his first season and six in the last quarter. So far, it has taken the Spain star just 12 league games to reach that total. The former Valencia man has three goals in his last three and is back to his best.
So, as good as Patrick Bamford was on Saturday, he has been on the bench – without a shadow of a doubt. Sam Greenwood, Liam Cooper and Crysencio Summerville also found themselves on the score sheet.
What a victory. Another wonderful shop. Leeds will see themselves finish in 12th place and qualify just in time for the World Cup. Rodrigo was one of the many players to post on Instagram after the win.
Rodrigo congratulates Raphinha after Leeds win
What a victory. To be 3-1 down after 50 minutes, to win, is huge. Jesse Marsch had his supporters and although few could argue with his starting line-up – his substitutions and tactical tweaks won Leeds the game.
He says he switched to a 4-3-3 – Willy Gnonto brought on at half-time, which was a problem. He also took off Marc Roca in the 54th minute, bringing on Sam Greenwood and playing Greenwood alongside Brenden Aaronson.
Before Tyler Adams. It works well. Greenwood scored and had an assist for Cooper. Gnonto’s contribution to Summerville is world class. But Rodrigo was praised by Raphinha, who continues to struggle at Barça.
