KUALA LUMPUR, November 24 — Actress Puteri Balqis Azizi has been labeled a ‘nightmare’ by netizens after she posted an Instagram post about her mother.
The post featured photos of the actress and her mother.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Balqis was seen hugging her mother, Norashikin Mohd Aziz, with an emotional caption.
“We’ve been broken in many ways, but I’ll keep us safe,” Balqis wrote using lyrics from a song by John Legend and Faouzia. Mine fields.
Many internet users were concerned about the close relationship between the actress and her mother.
Some, however, misinterpreted the message as Balqis was considered to be very close to someone of the same sex and was considered a prostitute.

Balqis denied these claims on her Instagram account, wishing heaven to bless her mother who was ‘damaged for tattoos’.
Balqis continued to limit the content on her post as the negative attention intensified.
