IRGC strikes on terrorist bases

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says it will continue its cross-border operations against anti-Iranian terrorist groups based in Iraq’s Kurdistan region until they disarm. The Commander of the IRGC Ground Force asked the people living in the terrorist area in the north of Iraq to leave the area. Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said his forces are using missiles and drones to target strongholds of anti-Iranian terrorists. The IRGC has been conducting raids on terrorist hideouts in the Kurdistan region since late September. Iran has repeatedly warned Iraqi Kurdish officials to stop the activities of terrorist groups on its borders. But according to the IRGC, the Kurdistan Regional Government has failed to deal with those groups. The IRGC says terrorists from northern Iraq have recently entered the border towns of Iran to attack the country.

A young Palestinian was killed

Israeli forces have resumed raids in the West Bank city of Nablus, killing one Palestinian girl and injuring four others. The Palestinian health minister said 16-year-old Ahmad Amjad She-had-eh succumbed to his wounds after being shot in the heart. It said four other boys were injured by live bullets, one of them in critical condition. The new death brings the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks to 200 since the beginning of this year, including 57 youths. Nablus has seen coordinated and armed attacks by Israeli residents under military protection. Palestinian armed resistance in the area against Israeli atrocities has intensified in recent months.

US weapons for Ukraine

US senators are pressuring the Pentagon to reconsider Ukraine’s request for lethal drones to fight Russia. A bipartisan group of 16 senators is asking the Pentagon to explain why it has not moved forward with supplying Kiev with drones. Kiev has made several appeals for Washington to provide powerful drones. But the US has so far refused to provide them to Ukraine. The Pentagon did not confirm whether the rejection was based on concerns that it would be shot down or turned back. At the same time, the US says it will provide 4.5 billion dollars in financial support for Kiev. The US Treasury Secretary said the aid would support key government services, including salaries for hospital workers, civil servants and teachers. Assistance will be provided through the World Bank.
