Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer the player he used to be, but his popularity on social media does not fade.

The Portuguese star was the most popular player on Instagram before the World Cup in Qatar, according to Oddspedia.

He has 494 million followers, which means he is on top of all sports figures. Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram.

Another all-time great, Lionel Messi of Argentina, came in second with 370 million fans, and Neymar of Brazil had 181 million.

Kylian Mbappe, who helped France win the previous World Cup, has reached fourth place with 73 million followers, followed by Argentina’s Paulo Dybala with 49.3 million. Welsh star Gareth Bale came in sixth with 48.3 million.

Surprisingly, England’s Harry Kane is only 22 with 13.2 million fans.
