House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Nov. 17 that she was stepping down from her leadership position in Congress, but a subsequent Instagram post said it was not Pelosi.
“It was announced that she was stepping down as Speaker of the House after two decades,” the column said, “but the real Nancy was arrested by US Marshals on January 14, 2021 (see video )… 2021 (the fake president’s fake threat), two of the leaders are seen taking him into the Capitol and telling him not to talk.

These claims are baseless. American leaders have not taken Pelosi, and accusations that she has been replaced by an impostor are unfounded.

But let’s look at the post’s, ahem, evidence. The photos in the post include several photos of Pelosi, including one labeled “Old Nancy” and one labeled “New Nancy.”
The “New Nancy” photo posted on Twitter by CBS News reporter Cristina Corujo on March 1, 2022, during the State of the Union address.
Both photos are by Pelosi – not the speaker.
Another photo in the post is said to show officials “arresting Pelosi from Congress” and taking her to a “secret location.”
In fact, the image, taken by Associated Press Photographer J. Scott Applewhite, shows Pelosi’s return “to her leadership office after the opening of debates about the impeachment” of the President and Donald Trump then on July 13, 2021.
