US-based company Orbic, which specializes in offering quality tablets, smartphones and other tech items at affordable prices, has announced its entry into the Australian market. According to Pickr, the company now offers a pair of tablets, the Tab8 4G and Tab 10R 4G, aimed at the general user and the working community.
As you can see, the Tab8 4G offers an 8-inch display with HD resolution. It comes with a pair of cameras, with a 5MP sensor on the front and a 13MP unit on the back. The tablet comes with a dedicated SIM card slot and can connect to up to 4G networks. It can also be used to make phone calls, but holding a device that size up to your ear can be quite uncomfortable. In other words, the device runs on Android 12 and offers a good level of performance, not incredibly fast. The tablet will be available in Australia later this week via Telstra. It’s also a prepaid version of the tablet that retails for $149 Down Under, making it one of the cheapest 8-inch tablets available in the country.
Next up in the country will be the Tab 10R 4G, which offers a larger 10-inch display. Aside from its size, another distinguishing feature of the tablet is its rugged build, with heavy-duty coatings on the sides that allow it to survive some rough use. Thus, the tablet is ideal for field workers or those working in harsh environments. The tablet can also connect to 4G networks and comes with a stylus for ease of use in a business environment. The Tab10R 4G will go on sale in Australia in December for $429.
Danny Adamopoulos, Orbic’s executive vice president of global strategy and operations, promised to launch many more exciting products in the country. They cater to a variety of usage scenarios and are both 4G and 5G enabled. But he did not elaborate on what he plans to launch next.
With my passion for technology, I aim to stay updated with the latest news in the world of technology and gadgets. This includes smartphones or tablet devices, but even extends to AI and self-driving cars, the latter of which is my latest fad. Besides writing, I like to watch videos, read, listen to music or experiment with different recipes. Cinema is another aspect that I am very interested in, maybe I will make a movie in the future.
