Guwahati: Guwahati police arrested a person from Lohra area of ​​the city who came with 16,000 Yaba pills.

Police said they found 47 grams of heroin and Rs 47,000 in cash from the smuggled pills.

The police added that the accused Gorchuk PS. was arrested based on specific information with the team.

Police also recovered a weighing machine and a mobile phone from his hideout in Pubsarania.

While the police did not disclose the exact value of the seized Yaba pills, a source said the consignment could be worth more than Rs 48 million in the international market.
