Brands often use social media because this is the type of thing that may end up leading to higher levels of engagement from their customers. There are many applications that can be used for this purpose, TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram are the most popular options and everything has been considered and considered. It seems that Instagram is starting to overtake most other platforms in terms of engagement.

With all that said and now out of the way, it’s important to note that Instagram Videos have seen their activity increase by 35% in the previous quarter. The reach of Instagram Reels is now at 67%, but the numbers for TikTok are only at 37% indicating that Reels can be a better reach for brands than they might otherwise be.

However, it must be said that TikTok is more than Instagram from a real performance point of view. Videos offers a 43% engagement, while TikTok has an impressive 57% in comparison. It is said that Instagram has not yet reached TikTok, although it is interesting to see what the future holds because the growth so far has been amazing.

Brands will continue to focus on TikTok due to its own strong growth rate. On average, brands have seen an increase in followers on TikTok by 200%, and a lot has been done to assure them that sticking to the platform will improve. Instagram Reels is shaping up to be a very successful launch for the Meta team, but we’ll have to wait and see if it can cash in on TikTok.
