Gurugram: A joint team of CM Flying Squad along with HSVP launched raids on illegal parking on government land in Sector 48.
According to officials, they conducted the raid after receiving reports of illegal parking in the area.
More than 100 cars and 70 to 80 two-wheelers were parked at the spot when the team reached.
At the parking spot, officials met Rakesh, who worked for Rs 18,000 per month and had no documents.
The operator of the illegal parking space has been identified as Jatinder, officials said. Inquiries revealed that Rs 50 for cars and Rs 20 for two-wheelers and parking passes are being renewed every month.
A parking slip and a register were recovered from the spot. Officials said no commercial activities can take place on government land and parking lots are illegal. An FIR has been filed against the owner of the illegal parking lot at the Sadar police station alleging illegality.
“We are planning to conduct raids in several areas where illegal activities are going on,” an official said.
