Gurgaon court official assaulted by accused: Police

Gurgaon:

A city court officer was assaulted by the accused’s family when he arrived at their home to serve a warrant, an official said on Thursday. An FIR has been registered against the accused at the Palam Vihar police station and the court has issued a fresh conditional arrest warrant against the accused, the official said.

According to police, court officer Narendra took the warrant of Praveen Yadav, a resident of Dharma Colony, on September 25. Yadav has to appear in court.

He was present at the home when officers arrived.

Praveen Yadav’s mother and brother came out and started abusing him after an argument, it is alleged that an FIR has been registered against Yadav and his family members under Section 186 (obstructing a public servant) as per the court’s directions and based on Narendra’s complaint. IPC at Palam Vihar police station on Wednesday. 353 (assault or criminal force to restrain public servant), 34 (general purpose).

“An FIR has been registered and we are trying to nab the accused,” said investigating officer sub-inspector Dinesh Kumar.
