Alasdair Gold said on his YouTube channel that he had spoken to someone who knew Djed Spence at the back of the right wing to delete the Tottenham content from his Instagram page, saying that he had not new to social media.
Spence was one of the players who welcomed the World Cup break. The 22-year-old arrived in the summer following his loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
Tottenham have problems down the right flank. Emerson Royal is a very happy signing. And Matt Doherty was poor until he looked good in the latter stages of last year. So it was a great opportunity for Spence to establish himself as a great player.

However, he has been playing a little bit. You can count on one hand the number of minutes he has played in the Premier League this season.

Spence’s lack of game time is a bit puzzling when you consider that Emerson has struggled so much. It’s hard to know how Antonio Conte thinks Spence is behind the Brazilian.
So, Spurs fans could have been forgiven for worrying a lot when Spence deleted everything from his Instagram account this week. To many, it may be a sign that he is bored at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Gold admitted he wasn’t sure why Spence deleted his Instagram. But he shared his story with those close to him, and he believes it’s not the first time he’s done it.
“I saw a lot of buzz around Djed Spence because I think he deleted stuff from his Instagram account. And obviously, everyone went to the extremes. more,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“I asked a few people who know him about it. And apparently, it’s something he’s done a few times in recent years. It’s like he’s purged on his wallet. Instagram, almost defined.
“Well, even if it’s nothing for Spurs now, nothing for Forest, nothing for Middlesbrough, nothing for any of his former teams. And I’m told he’s done it three times.
Of course, Conte will not be able to continue with Emerson at right-back after the break. Of course, Emerson is not a bad player. And he gave everything to the cause.
But he doesn’t give up any room for further progress.
Spence may not have been quite ready. But it’s hard to see how it could do more harm.
He knew he would need time after his move. However, his patience is certainly being tested.
Hopefully, Spence’s Instagram description has nothing to do with his situation at Tottenham. But you can’t blame him if he’s been upset.
