Did Eubank Jr. Point to Benn’s Trial in August Instagram Post? | Tech Reddy

Chris Eubank Jr.’s August social media post can now be viewed, for all we know, as a secret message about what’s to come.

Eubank’s fight with Conor Benn is more likely to be banned by the British Boxing Board. They did so after hearing that Benn had been found to have a banned substance in his system before the fight. As the story grew, Benn himself confirmed it wasn’t the first time.

In recent press interviews, Benn confirmed that he tested positive for Clomiphene – a drug that can increase testosterone levels in men – on July 25 of this year. A press conference was held to announce the project on August 12, and it is unclear when, or if, Eubank’s team was notified of the initial test.

An Instagram post by Eubank Jr. on Aug. 27 now has some fans thinking he knows for sure, either through official means or from behind-the-scenes chats.

With differing accounts of who knew what at the time, it didn’t come out of nowhere that Eubank Jr.’s announcement was little more than an undisclosed test trip. True to form since the defeat, the Brighton-born champion has released a number of messages that appear to address Benn’s situation. Although, like many things in this case, we may never know.

Conor Benn is expected to be sued for defamation in an attempt to clear his name in the minds of fans and the British Boxing Board. We await further information from him or his team regarding the failed tests.

As for his former (almost) opponent, he is rumored to be back in December with Liam Smith as his opponent. With that said, regardless of Eubank’s desire to fight this side of the new year, if there is no announcement this week it is more likely that he will be out in 2033.
