Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal is officially leaving his ‘boomer phase’.

The CEO of the food delivery app made his first post on Instagram on Thursday with a picture of a poster from Zomato’s headquarters (Gurgaon, Haryana). He said he is creating a series of “me-made” posters in the office lobby to create a “driving atmosphere” in the company. The first poster has a woman pointing her fingers at the camera. “Is this the beginning?” says the label. The social media team at Zomato recently celebrated the debut of their CEO on Instagram with some funny stories. “The beginning of your exit to our reels?” asked the Instagram handle of the restaurant aggregator app. Goyal decided to celebrate this momentous event with a nasty Tweet. “Guess who’s not a fan,” the businessman wrote on the microblogging app, before sharing a link on his Instagram account. On Wednesday, Goyal released a second poster showing a photo of the takeover. The caption read “Will we wake up?”

For those unfamiliar with the term, a ‘boomer’ is someone born between 1945 and 1965. This is another term used to describe the elderly in general. The restaurant chain company recently faced several controversies when its co-founder Mohit Gupta resigned. It was Gupta who built the food delivery business from scratch. In his parting letter, the businessman explained that he was stepping down to investigate “unknown activities”. “Four and a half years ago I joined Deepi (Deepinder Goyal) and this crazy team trying to build the best food technology company in the country, I dare say the world. This time, our food delivery business was brought back from the brink, survived the crazy competition, and the epidemic, and became a large and profitable business (maybe not in the beginning ).The journey to create a world-class technology business from India, for India (maybe even the world) is still ongoing, only 1% complete,” said Gupta.

His resignation follows that of the company’s deputy chief financial officer, Nitin Savara, who stepped down in August. Other high-profile resignations at the food delivery app include Rahul Ganjoo, the new chief operating officer, and former food delivery chief, and Siddharth Jhawar, vice president of global growth.
