American Express is hiring an experienced Analyst – ERP Specialist I at their Gurgaon location. This position is within the AXP Consolidation and Close Governance team and you will lead AXP’s consolidation and drive its financial close governance to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for AXP and its US regulators such as the SEC, FRB, Tax Department, etc.

What you will do:
Support AXP Financial closes and key business initiatives by working closely with multiple stakeholders across finance and technology.
Maintain high accuracy and productivity standards with an eye for detail. Ensuring control and compliance.
Collaborating with various stakeholders with finance and technology to understand and close ongoing issues that may impact close timelines.
Ensuring financial integrity by reviewing financial information and correcting any distortions in the financials
Working with technology for development/automation opportunities.
Assisting external/internal auditors with queries and quarterly review requirements.
Qualifications for this job:
Earlier worked in Financial Accounting/Reporting.
Understands financial consolidation and its complexities.
Project management experience will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification:
CA/MBA/Post Graduate with minimum 3-4 years of experience.
Team player with can-do attitude.
Good communication both verbal and written.
What skills are required:
Ability to execute processes and manage projects without much supervision or direction.
Flexible, results driven and able to lead and influence without authority.
Strong ability to understand complex issues and gain end-to-end knowledge of processes.
Flexible to work in shifts as the team needs 24×7 support especially during off months.
An understanding of US GAAP will be an added advantage as the team will need to work closely with the reporting team.
Good in Excel and Presentation and other MS Office applications.
Analytical turn of mind.
Knowledge of platforms such as; Oracle, Smartview, Essbase, Tableau or any other ERP or BI platform.
