Navotas City Government has distributed 335 smart TVs and 169 ceiling fans to 12 elementary and high schools.
The Navotas Schools Division Office also received three smart TVs and fans for the newly completed Media Center and Conference Room.
“Our goal is to provide Navoteño students with the best learning environment,” said Mayor John Rey Tiangco. “Students who feel comfortable and safe will be able to learn more and learn more.”
One smart TV and two ceiling fans are allocated to each class of the newly constructed four-story school building in the city.
Among the beneficiaries were Bangkulasi Elementary School, Kapitbahayan Elementary School, Navotas Central and Navotas 1 Elementary School, San Rafael Village Elementary School, San Roque Elementary School; Tangos Elementary School, and Tangos 1 Elementary School.
High school recipients include Tanza High School, San Rafael Tech-Voc High School, San Roque National High School, and Tangos National High School.
In March this year, Navotas opened 11 newly constructed four-storey school buildings.
Last September, the city began construction on nine additional school buildings.
