Film Heritage Foundation announces Dilip Kumar Film Festival to commemorate his 100th birthday | Tech Reddy

Fresh off the success of ‘The Bachchan Back to the Beginning Festival’, non-profit organization Film Heritage Foundation has announced a unique film festival titled ‘Dilip Kumar Hero of Heroes’ to celebrate the centenary of yesteryear film icon Dilip Kumar.

Set to be held on 10 and 11 December 2022, the celebration will honor the icon with a specific showcase of his milestone films like Aan (1952), Devdas (1955), Ram Aur Shyam (1967) and Shakti (1982). Covering more than 30 cinema halls in more than 20 cities across India.

Visitors to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Pune, Bareilly, Kanpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Raipur, Indore, Surat, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad will get a first-hand experience of witnessing the sheer magnetism and versatility. One of the greatest actors in Indian cinema on the big screen with four landmark films in two days.

Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, filmmaker, archivist and director of the Film Heritage Foundation said, “Dilip Kumar is 100 years old! What an incredible opportunity to bring one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema back to the big screen. He is truly the “Hero of Heroes” as even today he is the actor that the biggest stars look up to. The Film Heritage Foundation couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than with a festival of its films in theatres. Although some of these films were released almost seventy years ago, the power of Dilip Kumar’s performance, his craft as a method actor and his charisma make him ageless.”
