Lady Gaga is a true millennial.
The pop star was called out by Gen Zers on Tuesday for making it a fake Instagram Boomerang video while promoting the Black Friday sale for his Haus Labs cosmetics brand.
Gaga, 36, attempted to recreate the Boomerang – a short video that plays on the channel – showing the character’s yellow tube as she wears her hair behind her back. ears
However, fans quickly noticed that the moves were inconsistent and the video lacked the Boomerang attribute.
“He doesn’t make a fake boomerang,” one fan tweetedadding, “I wonder if he’s an experienced camper or if he thinks about what people do when they hang boomerangs…”
“Someone said he put the BOOMER in Boomerang & I’ve been crying ever since,” another fan laughed.
A third user wrote“lady gaga, the woman who knows the technology well to create ultra-sonic EDM sounds and songs + full production on albums and make interludes like those at the chromatica ball. but the woman did not know enough about the technology to make the boomerang.
At the time, some said the flub needed more publicity.
“He’s very smart. He’s sure people will repost the clip everywhere to make fun of him, but in those two clips he’s selling a product… and you’re giving him free exposure everywhere. all,” one pointed out by the fan. “I didn’t see these results on his insta, now thanks to Twitter I have.”
Gaga’s fans – known as “Little Monsters” – have been quick to defend “Mother Monster” in her many controversies.
The Grammy-winning singer canceled her final performance at the “Chromatica Ball” in September and was met with a wave of support after the difficult decision.
“Look, some of you have called me ‘monster mother’ for years, and in my heart I knew it was better to take care of you. Thank you for believing in me,” Gaga wrote alongside an emotional video at the time.
Gaga has yet to share details about her new music video.
