Large screen television sets have been selling well in the domestic market in recent months, due to competitive prices and growing demand related to sports, games and remote work and learning, industry officials said.
In the first half of this year, about 36 percent of TVs sold in China were 75-inch or larger models, with growth of 14 percent annually, according to AVC researcher. Sales of 85-inch and 98-inch sets have also increased.

In addition, eSports and online learning have driven demand for high-end TVs as people use TV screens to play games and study and work at home, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
And, facing challenges such as rising prices and an uncertain environment, TV manufacturers are expected to continue to reduce prices, not only to attract more customers but also to reduce inventory in the fourth quarter, TrendForce researcher noted.
Prices for entry-level 75-inch TVs will fall below 5,000 yuan (US$704) in the fourth quarter during the Singles Day sales campaign in November, compared to the average price of 7,000 yuan, industry insiders said. .
