Black Friday is the best time of year to find essential items or get ready for Christmas at low prices on popular brands and products. I best Black Friday deals (opens in a new tab) they are full of brilliant products, from televisions to washing machines, PS5s to vacuum cleaners, laptops to fitness equipment. I could go on, but the gist is that almost anything you can think of will be discounted during Black Friday weekend.
While the Black Friday sales (opens in a new tab) ‘officially’ starting on Friday 25 November 2022, many retailers are putting their sales up early, giving shoppers extra time to save on essentials, gifts and everything in between. Despite the cost of living crisis that affects everyone this year, Black Friday sales promise to deliver great deals and savings to help reduce stress around everyday spending and the upcoming holiday season.
As every store, location and retailer offers deals and discounts on Black Friday, it can be overwhelming, but don’t worry. As a Vine Writer and T3 Shopping Expert, I not only know how to find the best discounts but I also know what to look for in this year’s sales.
Whether you’ve got your list sorted or you’re still thinking about what you want, I’m here to help with my top 5 predictions for Black Friday 2022.
1. Televisions
My first guess is a big drop in price better TVs (opens in a new tab). As retailers such as Amazon, Currys, John Lewis, AO.com and More have already put some of their Black Friday deals live, I’ve had a peek and TVs are getting the biggest discounts of the year. TVs are a big investment, but with the 2022 FIFA World Cup coming up, I think football fans will be looking for a new TV. Black Friday is also usually when TV manufacturers come to discount their older TV models, so, while you may not be getting the latest options, you’re still getting a brilliant TV that has had hundreds, if not thousands taken off its price.
As I mentioned, select retailers are now lowering their prices on the smaller 43-inch sizes up to the larger 75-inch screens. If you’re on a tight budget, the smaller 43, 50 and 55-inch sizes are on the lower end of the spectrum, and thanks to Black Friday discounts, most of them are on offer for around $179 – $449. In terms of brands, titans such as LG, Sony, Philips, Samsung, Hisense and Toshiba can be found in the market, in addition to smaller companies such as JVC and TCL. Looking for a new TV this year? 2. Air conditioners
Arguably the first kitchen gadget that everyone has or looks at is the air conditioner. I the best air fryers (opens in a new tab) they’re quick, healthy and have a lot of cooking functions in one tool, so there’s a lot to love! Since they’re in such high demand, air conditioners are usually full price and rarely get a discount, but every now and then, you’ll find great discounts on many air conditioners and cookers. This is what I predict will happen with Black Friday sales.
Scrolling through the first deals, I haven’t seen any air fryer sales yet, but I think over the weekend or Black Friday, there will be a few light deals on air fryers. I suggest you keep an eye on air fryers like Tefal, Tower and Ninja, but my money is on Tefal air fryers which have major price cuts this year.
3. Nintendo Switch
According to the search criteria observed by Slovakia (opens in a new tab), searches for the Nintendo Switch went higher than the PlayStation and Xbox consoles this year. Of course, just because people are looking for Nintendo Switch deals, it doesn’t mean they will happen, but Black Friday is the most likely sales event for the Nintendo Switch to drop in price.
With Nintendo Switch Ads (opens in a new tab), you’ll find bundle deals on offer, meaning you can buy the console, accessories and games in total at a cheaper price than usual. Games will be on offer, so keep your eyes peeled for ‘2 for £20’ style deals on Nintendo Switch games.
4. Vacuum cleaners
Shopping for cleaning products can never be fun but if you’re in desperate need of a new cleaner, Black Friday deals are the place to look. Vacuum cleaners are often discounted on sale, and this year, I’ve seen amazing deals ranging from 50-70% off on top vacuum cleaner models from Shark, Dyson, Miele, Vax and more.
Similar to last year and Amazon Prime Day sale 2022, Shark vacuum cleaners are bound to have big discounts. Shark already has deals live on its website with selected retailers such as Amazon, John Lewis and Currys, so you can get discounts on both corded and cordless vacuums. In my experience, deals on Shark vacuum cleaners will go down a bit by the day, so it might be worth waiting for Black Friday or. Cyber Monday (opens in a new tab) date, but it’s up to you.
5. Earbuds
My last prediction for Black Friday 2022 is earbuds. Now, I’m sure most audio products will be discounted this year, including headsets and speakers, but earbuds are where I expect to see the biggest price drops. Compared to over-ear headphones, in-ears are already cheaper and often get more money from their sales.
In the first Black Friday deals, there are plenty of price cuts on earbuds, in particular true wireless earbuds (opens in a new tab) and noise canceling options. Sony, Jabra, Samsung and LG are the main brands involved at the moment, but I hope to see some Beats and Google Pixel Buds, so fingers crossed that you look for those.
BONUS: Home essentials
The cost of living has plagued us throughout the year, and it has been difficult to pay bills, go to work and buy food. Because of this, I think many people will use the Black Friday sales to buy Christmas gifts and stock up on cheap household essentials, rather than buying just one item.
During Black Friday, the products I’m going to list below are often sold at very low prices, especially Amazon (opens in a new tab), so keep an eye out for: batteries, coat hangers, tissues, dish washing tablets, toilet roll, pet food, wipes, tea bags and cleaning sprays. If you need to restock your medicine cabinet or makeup bag, Black Friday offers great deals on mascara, foundation, shampoo, hair dye, condoms, shower gel, toothpaste, pain relievers, diapers and more.
