Turns out, a LOT! In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor said that her social media presence helps her pay her EMIs.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Janhvi Kapoor said, “I don’t want to take it seriously. My social media is for my entertainment. I hope if I look cute and five other people look like my pictures, I will get another token and I can pay my EMIs more easily than beforeā.

To add context to her story, she talks about the conflict between her recent work portraying herself in a ‘girl-next-door’ avatar and her life in in social media shows her in beautiful images. The interviewer felt that the audience might find it difficult to connect with him on screen if his off-screen appearance was inconsistent. Responding calmly, Kapoor said she doesn’t take her social media seriously. However, he also proved to be very involved in his finances.
Janhvi Kapoor has 20.3 million followers on Instagram and on average, her posts get between 500K and 1 million likes. He gets over 1,000 comments per post. Although this is a very high number compared to other non-famous content creators, interestingly, he has not even made it to the top 10 most followed people in India.
Akshay Kumar is at the tenth position with 63.1 million followers, followed by Jacqueline Fernandez with 63.3 million followers. The eighth, seventh and sixth positions go to Katrina Kaif (66.7 million), Deepika Padukone (68.8 million) and Narendra Modi (69.3 million). Alia Bhatt (70 million), Neha Kakkar (70.7 million) and Shraddha Kapoor (74.4 million) occupy the next three spots.
In second place is Priyanka Chopra with 81.9 million followers. At the top is cricketer Virat Kohli with 212 million followers.
