Jennifer Aniston and Instagram isn’t exactly friendly.
The 53-year-old actress, who joined the social media platform in 2019, shared her honest thoughts on the app and revealed why she created an account in the first place. “I hate social media,” Jennifer said Beautification in its December cover story. “I’m not feeling well.”
“It’s torture for me. The reason I went on Instagram was to launch this line,” she explained, referring to her hair care line, LolaVie. “Then there was an epidemic that we didn’t launch. So I kept it on Instagram. It just doesn’t happen.”
Jennifer admitted that she’s glad she wasn’t raised with social media in her life like it is at this age, and she feels it can have a negative impact on one’s mental health.
“I’m very happy that we’ve had the experience of growing up, being teenagers, being in our 20s without this social media aspect,” he said. “Look, the internet, big ideas, right? Connect people socially, on social networks. It goes back to how teenage girls feel about themselves, comparisons and depression.
Jennifer added, “I feel better about myself today, better than I did in my 20s or 30s, or even in my mid-40s. We need to stop talking bad to ourselves. .”
