Islamabad [Pakistan]November 2 (ANI): Social media sites including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp went down for thousands of users across Pakistan on Wednesday, according to outage tracker Downdetector.
The apps went down after 5 pm, the Dawn newspaper said citing the website, while #WhatsAppDown was trending on Twitter in the country.
Twitter users in Pakistan complained about linking and logging into accounts. But later users reported that they could send and receive messages.

Downdetector is an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services.
Last week WhatsApp went down for almost two hours, amid reports that the world was in shock.
Users of the instant messaging and voice calling platform Meta reported that they were unable to send group and personal chats during the outage.
Users of the WhatsApp website were also affected by the virus. (ANI)
