The Indian team started a new era in white-ball cricket when Hardik led the team in a three-match T20I series against New Zealand. Hardik extended his leadership credentials as the Men in Blue registered a rare win against the Kiwis in their own backyard.

Earlier this year, Hardik also led Gujarat Titans to IPL glory in their first season. Hardik has taken a break as he has been on the road for the past few months. He has not been included in the Indian team which will travel to Bangladesh for three ODIs and two Test matches.
