Viola Davis Adds Instagram For Iran Death Row Deal | Tech Reddy

Viola Davis has been criticized on Instagram for a post that contained false information about protesters in Iran being sentenced to death. Hundreds have died and thousands have been arrested in the Middle East country in demonstrations in the streets after the death of a young woman, Mahsa Amini, in the custody of “the police morality” after Amini was not wearing her proper hijab. “Iran is punishing 15,000+ people to death – a ‘hard lesson’ for all rebels,” Davis wrote in his post on Monday. “How not to say more at this point is beyond me, but change now!” He included a reference to a Newsweek article about Iran’s lawmakers voting to approve the death penalty for those who commit serious crimes against the state. But so far, only one death sentence has been handed down for recent Iranian protests, that of an unnamed man accused of setting fire to a government building. The 15,000 figure appears to be on the number of protesters jailed in Iran as counted by the Hrana news agency, which said 15,820 had been arrested as of Monday. Others were involved in the confusion, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Canada condemns the Iranian government’s decision to impose the death penalty on nearly 15,000 protesters,” Trudeau tweeted end of monday.
