GURGAON: Tech-enabled chain of state-of-the-art clinics focused on holistic pet health care, Vetic, has raised $3.7 million in a seed funding round led by Lachi Groom.

The round saw the participation of renowned angel investors including Utsav Somani (Partner, Angellist India), Nitin Saluja (Founder Chaios), Ritesh Aggarwal (CEO, Oyo), Abhinav Sinha (COO Oyo), Shiva Singh Sangwan (Founder, 1947). , Maninder Gulati (CSO OYO), Revant Bhate (CEO, Mosaic Wellness), Anuj Tejpal (CBO OYO), Revant Bhate (CEO, Mosaic Wellness), Abhishek Gupta (CFO OYO) and Manu Gupta (Founder, Blue Lion VC) Others .

Started in August 2022 by Gaurav Ajmera (ex-COO Oyo and ex-CBO Pristine Care), Vetic aims to provide best-in-class medical care to pets and all other pet care needs such as nutrition, wellness etc. Providing benefits to parents. The newly raised capital will be used by the company for further strengthening technology, establishing state-of-the-art medical infrastructure as well as geographical expansion of Vetic’s clinic network across Delhi NCR and Bangalore region.

Commenting on the company’s vision and fundraising, Gaurav Ajmera, founder of Vetic said, “Pet adoption in India is growing at a rapid rate, but pet health care is the biggest challenge for pet parents. The current pet healthcare ecosystem is plagued with subpar clinical and medical infrastructure with minimal technology adoption. Vetic believes that every pet should have access to the best medical care. We aim to provide this through a network of technology-enabled modern pet clinics equipped with modern medical infrastructure and experienced veterinary doctors. The latest round of funding will allow us to invest in building consumer-facing technology platforms and state-of-the-art medical facilities.” Lachie Groome said, “Pet healthcare is set to experience the same disruption that personal healthcare has experienced over the past few decades. I believe Gaurav and the Vetic team will redefine the pet experience and build the pet healthcare brand in India.”

The startup currently has 4 clinics in Gurgaon and plans to have 15 clinics across Delhi NCR and Bangalore region by June 2023. Vetic recently launched Android and iOS mobile apps, which enable seamless appointment booking and pet health record keeping, a first for pet healthcare.
