TVS Supply Chain Solutions of TVS Mobility Group has expanded operations at its center of excellence in Madurai by adding a new block to the facility, and plans to double its workforce in the region, the company said on Friday.
The center of excellence is the company’s flagship global operations unit and will strengthen TVS Supply Chain Solutions’ leadership as a leading global technology player.
The company is looking to tap talent in this region to build on its competitive edge and aims to multiply its workforce from the current level of 300 in two years, said a statement from TVS Supply Chain Solutions.
“I am delighted that we are expanding our operations in Madurai with our center of excellence, which provides unique services using technology and data analytics for our global operations,” said company vice-chairman R Dinesh.
“We’ve always wanted to provide opportunities for local talent and that’s where we started our center of excellence in 2017 with five employees. Going forward, the CoE will be the center of all technology development for our operations around the world apart from being the back office capital of TVS SCS,” he said.
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Thangam Thennarasu and Trade Taxes Minister P Moorthy formally inaugurated the new unit at a ceremony in the presence of senior company officials.
