Madurai will be the hub for all technology development operations globally and the back-office hub for TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), said company vice-chairman R. Dinesh here on Thursday.
The new technology center in Madurai was inaugurated at TVS Buildings here by Minister for Industries Thangam Thennarasu in the presence of Minister for Registration and Trade Tax P. Moorthy and Collector S. Aneesh Sekhar.
The new wing will have a total work area of approximately 13,000 sq. ft. and providing key services such as technology product development and deployment, analytics and business intelligence support and business process outsourcing to its global operations. The center, which was established in 2017 with five employees, has a little over 300 employees including supply and technology specialists.
In his speech, Mr. Dinesh said that TVS SCS, one of the largest and fastest growing service delivery solutions providers in the country, will provide exceptional services using technology and data analytics for global operations. TVS, he added, being a home-grown organization will provide opportunities to local talents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thennarasu said that TVS, with Madurai as its hometown, has come a long way with its commitment to business development. By using local talents, it set an example.
To ensure all assistance from the government for the development of industries in the southern districts, said the Chief Minister MK Stalin has set an export target of 1 trillion USD from the Government by 2030. All stakeholders in the industry must join hands to make it a reality, he said. .
Praising TVS for its quality and excellence over the years, Mr. Moorthy also praised TVS SCS for strengthening its wing in Madurai.
TVS SCS Managing Director Ravi Viswanathan said the Madurai expansion is based on the fundamental belief that the rich talent pool here will be a key driver in realizing the company’s vision of becoming a global leader in the supply chain solutions space.
