– Recorded its top speed of 211.3km/h
– Clock the fastest time on the Chang’s circuit
– Vorapong Malahuan won TVS Asia One Make Championship
TVS Racing has put itself on the international motoring map by running the first edition of the TVS Asia One Make Championship and becoming the first Indian manufacturer to do so at the global level. To make this even more celebrated was the racing machine used in the series which recorded its highest speed.
All racers competed on the TVS OMC RR 310 racing machine based on the road-spec Apache RR310. Thanks to the great changes made in the racing bike, it managed to reach an amazing speed (for a 310cc bike) top speed of 211.3kmph and 9kmph faster than the previous bike record. This was achieved by making a few internal changes to its engine alongside the bike’s suspension and engine braking characteristics. Moreover, the aforementioned high speed helped the bike clock its best time of 1:50.850 at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand.
As for the riders, the best in the TVS Asia One Make Championship was Vorapong Malahuan who emerged victorious as he led both races in the final round of the competition. Following him in second and third positions were Watcharin Tubtimon and Decky Tiarno Aldy.
