The TVS Apache RR310 has been one of the most popular bikes in its class since its inception. Sharing the same platform with the G310 bikes from BMW Motorrad, Apache has been able to make a name for itself in the segment beating its competitors repeatedly. Now the TVS Motor Company has just announced that it has managed to set a new quarter mile race time at the Valley Run 2022 with a special Apache RR310 tow.
Indian National Motocross Champion Jagan Kumar riding an Apache RR310 dragster managed to clock the fastest time of 11.523 seconds. Meanwhile, Apache beat the Yamaha RD350’s record time of 11.951 secs on the same track. Moreover, the company’s second rider KY Ahamed also managed to set the second fastest time (Valley Run 2022) of 11.996 seconds in the Indian Open Unrestricted Class (up to 390cc).

Update on the drag-spec Apache RR310?

The company also modified the Apache RR 310’s 312.2cc engine to make it suitable for drag racing. The bike was fitted with an electronically controlled turbocharger, along with a titanium connecting rod, titanium valves and lightweight forged pistons. As per the official claims, this upgrade has managed to double the power output of the bike, compared to the street-spec version of the motorcycle.

If that wasn’t all, the company has added an electronic system that can be programmed with a quick lock and start control. Moreover, the overall weight of the bike has been reduced by the use of many carbon fiber components including the wheels and the sub-frame. The weight of the bike is reduced up to 37% compared to the standard model.

The wheelbase is now extended which is seen as a general adjustment for all drag bikes.
