TVS came to the Valley Run 2022 in full force with a custom made Apache RR 310 that was already in tow. The bike completed the quarter-mile sprint in 11.523 seconds. It competed in the Indian Open Unrestricted Class (up to 390cc), setting a new best time in the class.

For starters, TVS has completely reworked the 312.2cc engine of the Apache RR 310. It now has lighter pistons, a titanium connecting rod, titanium valves, and a turbocharger. The used engine produces almost twice the power of the street version of the bike.

TVS has introduced a programmable, closed-loop electronic system with quick control and commissioning. The wheels and sub-frame are just two of the new carbon fiber elements added to reduce weight. The drag racing bike is estimated to weigh 37% less than its road version after all these modifications.

In order to have a stable and minimal weight transfer effect while accelerating to high speeds the ride height has also been lowered. The center of gravity is shifted forward to prevent the wheels from accelerating.

The Valley Run received a total of 220 motorcycle entries in various classes this year. With the modified Apache RR 310, TVS secured the top two positions in the Indian Open Unrestricted Class (up to 390cc) class.

Jagan Kumar, the Indian National Motorcycle Racing champion, set the fastest time with a time of 11.523 seconds. That beats the previous record of 11.951 seconds set on the Yamaha RD350 by 0.428 seconds. With a time of 11.996 seconds, KY Ahamed came second.
