Tracee Ellis Ross shares Back and Back Workout on Instagram | Tech Reddy

Tracee Ellis Ross hit the gym for a back and butt workout showing off her workout in the weight room just like she does on the red carpet: flawless.

“Up and at ’em,” Ross captioned an Instagram video from Nov. 28 showing himself doing an awesome strength workout with the help of trainer Jason Walsh. The “Black-ish” star hit the gym hard, doing a variety of moves that target the muscles in her back, legs, and hips. “Love Tracee and her learning,” Walsh said when sharing her post on Instagram.

Ross began training with resistance band rows as he held a pose, bracing his back and lower body for what was to come. Next, he tests his glutes and hamstrings on the Westside Barbell Scout Hyper, a machine that strengthens your posterior chain (the muscles in the back of your body). After a few back flips on his right leg, Ross flipped over to his left, grabbing the front arms of the machine for balance.

Ross goes to a cable machine for a few one-arm rows, working the same muscles he warmed up with earlier with resistance bands. He followed those who performed 20-pound deadlifts using the open hex bar — a compound movement that works the glutes, hamstrings, and back at the same time. Finally, Ross wraps up the high-intensity workout with a 45-pound butt punch using a machine called the Booty Builder — because that’s what he does. “Oh boy!” Ross said he was strong in the final stages. When Walsh told him the set was over, he let out a breath and finally let his legs rest.

This isn’t the first time Ross has been in the news about one of his workouts with Walsh, who owns the fitness studio Rise Nation and works with other celebrity clients including Emma Stone and Brie Larson; check out the tough leg days Ross put on him in October. And if you’re looking for a workout to strengthen your back and core, try Ross’s amazing workout – just be prepared to hurt.
