TodayAllison Langdon’s official Instagram account is up just a day after announcing that she is leaving the show to host. A Current Issue.
The breakfast show showed a photo of Allison standing next to Karl Stefanovic and his successor Sarah Abo on Monday, however, Ally was all about the ball.
“Out with the old, in with the new,” reads the label. “Welcome to the team Sarah!”
While the message was clear, similar to Karl’s digs at Ally throughout the show, some took to the comments to express their disapproval.
“Rude image,” one man replied, followed by another who said, “Oh that’s rude”.
“That’s a terrible offer!” A third commented, with another writing, “Awesome headline! Maybe some thanks to Ally?”
“Wow, this is a shame Ally has been disqualified,” said another, while others described it as “unfair”, “threatening” and “disgusting”.

However, many people appreciated the humor in the photo and called it “cute”.
“Photography is the best!” One fan commented, with another saying, “Traditional Aussie humor”.
“I was laughing,” said another, while another user said, “This photo is so funny! That’s something I do.”
Ally announced as new ACA leader
After months of deliberation, Ally was announced as the new leader of A Current Issue on Sunday evening.
Channel Nine has announced that Ally, who has hosted the network’s breakfast show for the past three years, will take up her new role on Monday, January 30, 2023.
“It’s an honor to be associated with the A Current Issue team. It’s a show I love and respect and have been watching since I was in school, and it’s hosted by Jana Wendt,” Ally said in a statement.
“I’m not going to lie – stepping into a career that Tracy has navigated for the past 17 years with such warmth and love was daunting. I look forward to bringing my own warmth and passion to the show as we continue to tell great stories that matter to our wonderful viewers.
Ally added that she knows it will be a “huge change” for the audience and herself.
“There is a lot of sadness about giving up my innocence Show up today family, especially my co-host Karl, who has made these past three years so wonderful and fun, even if I don’t miss that 3am alarm!” he continued. “However, I enjoy waking up the kids and walking them to school and daycare before ripping off work.
“I love what A Current Issue is, and why is it standing. It’s a show in my family’s DNA, since it’s my father-in-law, the late Mike Willesee Snr, who started it. A Current Issue back in the early 70s. Each host has brought their own style to the show and I hope they do the same but most importantly, A Current Issue a story for the villagers to listen to every night. Their testimony, their stories we share, the wrongdoings we help to fight.
