There are two new ways to manage your Instagram feed | Tech Reddy

Today, we’re introducing Favorites and Following, two new ways to choose what you see in your feed. We want you to be able to make Instagram a great experience, and giving you a way to quickly see what you really want is a big step in that direction.

What are Favorites and Followers?

Your Instagram feed is a mix of photos and videos from the people you follow, thoughtful posts and more. Over time, we’ll add more recommendations to your feed based on your preferences — Favorites and Follows are a new way to catch the latest posts from the accounts you follow.

Favorites show the latest from accounts you select, such as your favorite friends and favorite creators. In addition to this view, posts from accounts in Favorites will appear in your home feed.

The following shows posts from people you follow. Favorites and Follows show you posts in chronological order, so you can quickly catch up on the latest posts.

To use Favorites and follow, tap on Instagram in the upper left corner of your home page to choose what you see.

How Your Favorite List Works

Use Bookmarks to see new posts from accounts you’ve added to your favorites list. You can add up to 50 accounts to your list, and change this list at any time – people will not be notified when they are added or removed. Posts from accounts on your favorite list will show up above your home feed, like a star icon.

More options and control over what you see in your feed

We’re always working on new ways to improve your Instagram experience. We’ll continue to work on features like Favorites and Following to give you more choice and control over what you see, and to help you spend more time in the app.
