K-pop idols Karina and Giselle of aespa once again made fans wonder about their past pictures.

The artists’ old Instagram stories started making the rounds on South Korean internet forums, showing the couple’s different personalities.

The difference between the two stories surprised fans, especially since the two idols are the same age. They were born in 2001 and are 21 years old now.

Yu Ji-min, aka Karina’s Instagram is filled with many personal photos and clean bio. She has nearly 6,000 followers, which is surprising considering she is a high school girl.

On the other hand, Japanese-Korean Giselle (Aeri Uchinaga) is an “Insta vibe” icon. Her Instagram account is much more interesting, with real pictures thrown in the middle. His face can only be seen in one picture of the nine found at the top of his account.

Considering the highly guarded nature of K-pop idols, it’s no secret that they give up their social media accounts when they start training. This step is usually followed for a number of reasons, such as misrepresenting the team one is training for, music, or any other sign that could give away information about the agency or the primary team.

The past lives of K-pop artists are therefore fascinating to fans. The latest in the pre-life show is Next Level Girl group members Karina and Giselle Instagram. The layout and UI in the photos circulating on social media are clearly derived from the old Instagram layout.

On Pann Nate, a South Korean internet forum, an anonymous netizen posted photos showing each page in the list. The blog post has garnered over 98k views. Commenting on Karina’s account, the user wrote:

“He was an innocent high schooler who gave the grades of the little bees and enrolled himself with almost 6K students.”

Regarding Giselle’s story, the netizen said that the Japanese-Korean aespa member was very familiar with Insta trends.

Other Korean netizens commented on the differences between the two accounts and the large image seen in the Instagram stories of aespa members. Netizens were shocked by Giselle’s statement. One fan said that the singer’s layout was in line with today’s trends and not old fashioned.

Another fan pointed out that Giselle, despite being Japanese, sounds a lot like the US gyopo, a term for Korean natives who live permanently in a foreign country. Check out the details below:

In other news, aespa fans recently criticized SM Entertainment for the group’s lack of promotion this year. The quintet has been active for two years, but only appeared in four music shows in 2022. They also have more achievements, such as performing at Coachella, grabbing a spot on Time magazine’s Next Generation Leaders List and Forbes’ 30 under 30.

Just to relax aespa fans is the new project announced across industries 2022 Winter SMTOWN called SMCU PALACE, scheduled for release on December 26.
